London - Battersea Power station

It was wonderful to visit Battersea Power station, I have had this visit on my radar for a while following the restoration of this magnificent building, a job well done by WilkinsonEyre architects. I used to pass this building daily in the early 2000’s when working in London on my train journey into Victoria station on the overground and for years wondered what it was going to be turned into. My grandfather believe it or not actually worked here when it was operating as a power station.

The design for the building restoration has been well considered and respected as a grade II listed building retaining it’s charm to full detail while delicately inserting the perfectly detailed internal spaces which occupy stores, dining and more. A beautiful place to visit.
