A resident new to Western Australia wanted a feature side table for her beach front apartment. The design brief was for a side table using specifically a WA timber which is durable and can be housed on the balcony which overlooks the Indian Ocean. I designed a table with a solid timber base to allow for some weight and a concrete top for durability. The timber base was made from Karri a Eucalyptus timber species known for its density as a hardwood found in Western Australia. The table was made by Raw Edge Furniture, WA.
